Asynchronous Mastery has been a hot topic for a number of years. Unfortunately there are many advanced classes and content heavy classes with requirements that make it challenging to allow students the freedom to work completely at their own pace. Synchronous mastery allows teachers to incorporate valuable components of mastery learning into their curriculum while still maintaining the pace needed to complete the course successfully. Teachers who are new to mastery learning can also use synchronous mastery as an entry point. In this session we will work together to develop strategies and design a framework to help others implement a synchronous mastery approach.
