Basic Flipped Classroom: A Hands-On How-To Approach
A quick and dirty hands-on how-to to get from idea to flipped. A boiled down approach utilizing the four pillars of FLIP, quick guided planning, Screencastify, YouTube, Google, your devices, and a few other quick tools to send you home with a mental, and with any luck digital, framework to flipping a lesson or chapter. The goal is to help you build a solid personal framework for flipping onto which you can hang all of the other great things flipped learning has to offer.

Fun and Engaging High School Activities
The Flipped Classroom offers many benefits for teachers and students. This session will discuss the methods that I use to flip my high school math classroom and how it makes time for novel, engaging, and fun activities for my students during their class period. Through the use of creativity and technology, students will complete hands-on activities such as pattern block art, NearPod presentations, Google Form or QR code scavenger hunts, and volume investigations using spheres and boxes to name a few. With the freedom now afforded by technology, classrooms can be funner than ever! Not only are students earning the opportunity to make more meaningful connections to mathematics, further enhancing their learning, but teachers also have more time to make content engaging and purposeful for the real world.

Experience a Flippin' Class
This workshop is for all flippin’ teachers to better understand how to implement a flippin’ class successfully. Three flippin’ science teachers from Allen High School will model a typical flippin’ class giving the attendees the opportunity to experience a flippin’ class from the student’s point of view. This is not your typical ‘sit and get’ presentation!! Participants will personalize their learning needs by choosing from a variety of interactive activities to understand how to manage a flippin’ class with true differentiated instruction. For the expert flippers, this flippin’ model can be easily adapted into a flippin’ mastery class. This session will provide attendees the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the logistics of a flippin’ class, network with other flippin’ teachers and ask questions regarding their flippin’ journey. All are welcome to join the discussion, whether flippin’ or not!

Flipped Classroom with Team-Based Learning
Using team-based learning as a methodology in the design and implementation of flipped classroom. Firstly, the use of readiness assurance to assess students' learning of the online videos and provide the linkage between the online videos and the application activities. This is followed by the application of concepts to provide students with an opportunity to apply the concepts that they have learnt in the online videos in challenging questions in their strategic teams. Lastly, the use of self & peer assessment to provide formative feedbacks for students improvements and summative feedbacks to derive individual marks from group marks.
